What you get
Hollywood, 1957. The world premiere of The Velvet Horizon has just ended in a standing ovation, and the stars, writers, money men and gossip columnists have poured onto Soundstage 9 of the Starwell Pictures lot for the after-party. At 10:30 the studio head, Harlan J. Whitlock, raises his glass and promises a midnight surprise: one more reel that will "end a career" by morning.
An hour later he is found dead in his private office, poisoned with his own champagne – and the reel has vanished. The gates are locked, every guest is a suspect, and one of them is giving the performance of a lifetime.
Over three rounds your guests gossip, guard their secrets, examine evidence and race to name the killer before the Lieutenant reads the final reveal.

- 12 secret character booklets (6 core + 6 optional; mixed genders, including 2 gender-neutral roles), each with backstory, secrets, costume ideas, lines to try and round-by-round objectives and clues

- Print at home – every file comes in US Letter and A4.
- Send the invitations, hand out the booklets and follow the host scripts.
- Collect the accusations and reveal the killer.
Good to know
- 6 to 12 players plus a host. The six core characters carry every clue needed to solve the case; optional characters add suspects and red herrings and each has a verified alibi, so the mystery is fair at any group size.
- Fair-play puzzle: the murder can be solved logically from the clues and props.
- About 2.5 hours. No gore – suitable for teens and adults.
- Works in black & white; looks best in colour.
- Digital product – no physical item will be shipped.
- For personal use. All studios, films, characters and events are fictional.
