Coral Key, Florida, 1986. Two hundred guests in sequins celebrate the 60th birthday of record mogul Max Diamond at the Hotel Aquamarine. At eleven he will make an announcement about the future of his label – but at twenty-two minutes to eleven he is found in his office behind the stage. A storm has jammed the drawbridge, the police are an hour away, and one of the guests knows exactly what happened.
