What you get
High on Mount Vesper, Hollowpine Lodge is snowed in for Christmas Eve. The cable car has stopped until morning, every phone is locked in the "Stocking Box", and the guests have cocoa, a carol contest and a roaring fire. At dinner the lodge's owner, former downhill champion Magnus Wolcott, promises golden envelopes at midnight: "one gift, one goodbye, and one reckoning. Someone has cheated on my mountain."
At 11:04 the cook finds him dead in his Trophy Cabin across the lawn. The snow stopped falling at ten, so every footprint since then is still there: one set leads from the Boot Room door to the cabin, and back again.
Over three rounds your guests gossip, guard their secrets, read the snow, check the boots and test each other's alibis, until the host, Captain Robin Frost of the mountain rescue, reveals who did it.
What's included (110 pages in each paper size)
Host Guide: setup checklist, a 2.5-hour party timeline, read-aloud scripts for every round, casting and scaling for 6–12 players, hint ladders, an après-ski menu with cocoa and mulled-cider drinks, decor and dress-code ideas, and a music style guide
12 secret character booklets (6 core + 6 optional). Every name works for any gender, and two roles are written as they/them. Every booklet is 4 pages, so nobody can guess the killer from the page count. Each one has a backstory, secrets, costume ideas, lines to try and round-by-round objectives and clues.
Fill-in invitations, 12 character cards to send with them, name tags and 4 room signs
The Case File and 29 clue cards across three rounds
13 evidence props: weather log, snow-track map, lodge floor plan with walking times, boot ledger, carol-contest scorecard, room board, door notice and sauna sign, a pocket diary, race results, briefcase papers, a rescue radio log, a soaked letter and a robe tag
Detective sheets: detective notepad, key-times tracker, means-motive-opportunity grid, timeline worksheet and accusation sheet
Solution and reveal script for the host, a step-by-step proof, a clue-logic table, a master timeline and an answer key for scoring
3 award certificates: Best Detective, Best Après-Ski Look and Most Suspicious

Good to know
6 to 12 players plus a host. The six core characters, with the core clue cards and props, carry every clue needed to solve the case. Optional characters add suspects and red herrings, and each one has a verified alibi, so the mystery is fair at any group size.
Fair-play puzzle: the murder can be solved logically from the clues and props. No snow, boots or sauna needed; it all happens on paper.
About 2.5 hours. PG-13: the death happens off the page, with no gore. Drinks in the story are cocoa and cider.
Works in black and white; looks best in colour.
Digital product. No physical item will be shipped.
For personal use. All places, companies, characters and events are fictional.
