What you get
Help your child or class learn to read an analog clock one step at a time. This printable pack starts with o'clock and half past and builds up to quarter past, quarter to, 5-minute times and times to the minute. Every level has a "write the time" page and a "draw the hands" page, followed by matching, elapsed time, a.m./p.m. practice and timed reviews. All answers are in the answer key at the back.
On every clock the hour hand is short and the minute hand is long, and the hour hand moves between the numbers as the minutes pass (at 4:30 it sits halfway between 4 and 5), just like a real clock.
What's included (33 pages, US Letter + A4 PDFs): - 5 levels, 10 worksheets: o'clock, half past, quarter past / quarter to, 5-minute times and 1-minute times, each with a Write the Time page and a Draw the Hands page (12 clocks per page) - 3 matching pages: match clocks to digital times and to time words (quarter past 4, half past 2 ...) - 3 elapsed time pages: how much time passed, what time will it be, and 6 simple word problems - a.m. and p.m.: a daily routine page plus an open "My Daily Routine" page - Cut-and-make paper clock: a large clock face with 5-minute labels and separate hour and minute hands (2 sets + 1 set to color) - 2 posters: Parts of a Clock and Time Words (12 vocabulary cards) - 4 timed reviews: 12 questions each, with start and finish time boxes - Answer keys for every worksheet and every timed review, with drawn clocks for the Draw the Hands pages - Welcome page with contents and a "Super Time Teller" certificate
Good to know - Every clock is drawn by code from its time, and every answer was checked again by a separate script. - Every page prints well in black and white. - Suggested use: 1st grade (o'clock, half past), 2nd grade (quarter hours, 5 minutes, a.m./p.m.), 3rd grade (to the minute, elapsed time). - Great for classrooms, homeschool, homework, math centers and summer review. - The pages practice skills commonly taught in 1st to 3rd grade. They are not an official curriculum or certified by any standards organization.
How it works 1. Purchase and get an instant download (ZIP file with two PDFs and a README). 2. Print the US Letter or A4 version at 100% / actual size. 3. Build the paper clock, work level by level, take a timed review and check with the answer key.
Please note - This is a digital product. No physical item will be shipped. - The paper clock needs scissors, glue and one paper fastener (brad); an adult should make the holes. - Colors may look slightly different depending on your screen and printer. - For personal, family and single-classroom use only. Please do not resell or share the files.
